Linda is a Business Partner at A4B and here’s her story…
As an energetic outgoing teenager, netball and running were my favourite hobbies, I was given trials for England Under 21’s and represented the County and Local Area for running the 800m & 1500m events..
I had a fixed desire to become a hairdresser & at 15 started work at Wildes Hair Salon Newcastle to begin my 3 year apprenticeship. Having completed 2 years at Tyne Met College, I was diagnosed with asthma and was forced to change direction.
People, sales and communication are my key passions and strengths so I decided to work in Retail. At 18 I became the youngest Manager at Manfield Shoes Newcastle – having only started as a Xmas Temp 6 months prior!
I continued to develop my knowledge and career and added the following brands to my 32 year portfolio; Principles Fashion, Victoria Wine, Thresher & Wine Rack. I was headhunted by Whitbread to Project Manage the Beefeater restaurants based in Luton / London. Latterly I worked in Digital Photography for 10 years and was instrumental in turning around the failed Klick Photo Point business into Max Spielmann, a now successful business.
I achieved success in several field and Head Office Based roles including Sales, Training, Auditing, Recruitment and People development and I qualified in Wine to educate and teach others. In addition I managed Policy, Operations and systems projects. Personal development is key to my success – this is where my greatest passion and time were spent. Business owners place sales and profit at the TOP of the tree. Key to business growth, this is my area of expertise – managing profitable brands from £3-£15million in sales.
I love to drive business growth, hence my leap to become a Business Advisor and pass on my wealth of knowledge and skills to other Business Owners – like you – to help you achieve the growth and success you want.
