Andrew started his career by obtaining qualification in Law. Between the years of 1984 and 1995 running a solicitor’s practice. He developed a successful client base. During this time expertise gained Andrew handled large commercial clients, property, litigation and general “trouble shooting.” Other experience gained included all types of business support advice, property transactions- to include business leases, raising finance, court and tribunal matters.
From the years of 1995 to 2014 as Manging Director of the family business -a wholesale company which at its peak turned over in excess of £7m pa. Controlling a staff of 30 plus. Overall control of all procurement and sales functions. Controlling the operations management involving a fleet of Heavy Goods vehicles. During this time dealing with the project management to include the development of a £1.25m specialist food production/distribution depot.
Out of necessity in the above two roles Andrew developed “on the job” learning of accounts and credit control both on behalf of clients and customers and in running small and larger sized business. Fully understanding the imperatives of credit control and cash flow management as well as interaction with the banking community and other professional advisors.
From 2015 to 2018 Andrew became the sales manager for a company with 40 plus members of staff. Dealing with all sales including B2B and B2C types. With Welsh Bros taking generating new business on his own account within a 24-month period of £3m pa.
Andrew possesses strong commercial acumen, built from his training and diverse experience and an ability to negotiate contracts/deals. An ability to sell at all levels and make things happen. Combining all skills and experience to take any business forward.
In his spare time Andrew takes a keen interest in all sports. Enjoys cycling and tries to get to the gym every day. He loves films, TV and follows current affairs with interest. Loves a challenge socially and in business – always keen to learn.
